Polina Zioga (born in Athens, Greece) is a multimedia visual artist working mainly with digital technologies and new media, creating prints, videos and installations.

As a child, she was frequently visiting her father’s research laboratory. The testing tubes and the microscopes, through which she was observing cells and microorganisms, were for her an infinite “game” of exploration and fantasy. Later she found herself studying at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (graduated in 2002) and immediately afterwards at the Athens School of Fine Arts, Painting and Photography (graduated in 2007 magna cum laude).

Today she creates photographic collages and videos of imaginary landscapes combining different techniques and media. She has created stage settings and costumes for theater plays and dance shows and she has organized and curated exhibitions with the Elemental Group, while she collaborates with musicians and bands in live audiovisual performances. Her work has been presented in art exhibitions, video-art and film festivals.

Η Πωλίνα Ζιώγα (γεν. στην Αθήνα) είναι εικαστική καλλιτέχνης που δουλεύει κυρίως με τις ψηφιακές τεχνολογίες και τα νέα μέσα, δημιουργώντας εκτυπώσεις, βίντεο και εγκαταστάσεις.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της παιδικής της ηλικίας επισκεπτόταν συχνά το ερευνητικό εργαστήριο του πατέρα της. Οι δοκιμαστικοί σωλήνες και τα μικροσκόπια, μέσα από τα οποία μπορούσε να παρατηρήσει κύτταρα και μικροοργανισμούς, ήταν για αυτήν ένα ατέλειωτο «παιχνίδι» εξερεύνησης και φαντασίας. Αργότερα σπούδασε στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (αποφοίτησε το 2002) και αμέσως μετά στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών, Ζωγραφική και Φωτογραφία (αποφοίτησε με άριστα το 2007).

Σήμερα δημιουργεί φωτογραφικά κολλάζ και σκηνοθετεί βίντεο φανταστικών τοπίων συνδυάζοντας διαφορετικά μέσα και τεχνικές. Έχει κάνει σκηνικά και κοστούμια για χοροθεατρικές παραστάσεις και έχει διοργανώσει και επιμεληθεί εικαστικές εκθέσεις με την ομάδα Elemental, ενώ συνεργάζεται με μουσικούς καλλιτέχνες σε live audiovisual performances. Η δουλειά της έχει παρουσιαστεί σε εικαστικές εκθέσεις, φεστιβάλ βιντεοάρτ και κινηματογράφου.
