landscape in green “Landscape in green” and ”Under the surface” are 2 series of photos, 2 series of snapshots of a wandering inside my personal universe, inside environments I construct with artificial materials and then I photograph as if they were real ones found in nature. During this process I ‘m interested in not showing clearly whether the specific environment is true or fake, small or big, found inside or outside and finally whether it is created by nature or by art. The result is a new place, “out of place”, pictorial and truly fake, through which I investigate the meanings nature versus art and true versus plausible. In “landscape in green” in particular I often insert the image of myself as an imperceptible, camouflaged detail. I enter and start living in these environments which function as a kind of shelter. |
